Hydrogen

Hydrogen is the simplest element on earth, yet its potential for fueling everything from our computers to our factories to our vehicles is enormous. It plays a vital role in meeting our future energy needs because it will allow us to produce a highly efficient energy using a broad spectrum of domestic sources including natural gas, coal, biofuel, wind, solar, and nuclear energies. This flexibility and ability to produce energy from clean emission-free sources will eventually liberate us from our reliance upon unsustainable fuels and give us a much cleaner planet.

Hydrogen is at the forefront of the race to move from the petroleum age to a new economy of renewable energies in transportation. "Hydrogen, generated by renewable resources, is the most sustainable, healthy, economic, environmentally friendly, and socially compatible new energy option" (American Solar Energy Society).
