Consumer NGVs

The Honda Civic GX is the only consumer model CNG vehicle currently offered in the U.S.  Based on the Honda Civic LX, it looks and operates like a gasoline-powered car, but with fewer emissions.

Most automakers around the world possess the capability to manufacture CNG vehicles. As the American NGV market and infrastructure grow, more models will be offered.  Toyota’s recent introduction of its CNG hybrid car at Los Angeles auto show is an indication of its readiness for the US CNG vehicle market.  European automakers are also aiming at the US CNG vehicle market by showing off sleek and sexy NGV models to attract US consumers such PGO’s ultra-sleek Cevennes Turbo CNG, which is a CNG clone version of Porsche 356, dispelling the perception that natural gas vehicles are incapable of high-end performance.
